Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Cost Estimator / Quantity Surveyor / BOQ Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, managing, and analyzing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for projects of varying scale and complexity. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure accurate financial planning and cost control across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & BOQ Preparation
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs (Bills of Quantities), and tender documentation based on project drawings, technical specifications, and scope of work.
- Develop cost models and cost breakdown structures for accurate project budgeting.
- Ensure accuracy in material, labor, and equipment costing while considering productivity rates and market conditions.
- Tendering & Bidding Support
- Prepare tender documents and pricing schedules in coordination with the procurement and project management teams.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations for technical and commercial compliance.
- Provide recommendations on bid competitiveness while ensuring profitability.
- Cost Control & Monitoring
- Monitor project expenditures and prepare periodic cost reports for management.
- Support project managers in budget forecasting, cash flow planning, and cost variance analysis.
- Implement value engineering techniques to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, and contractors to resolve discrepancies in scope, specifications, and costs.
- Attend project meetings to provide updates on cost-related matters.
- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on cost planning and financial expectations.
- Risk Analysis & Compliance
- Identify potential financial risks and propose mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
- Keep updated with market trends, construction methodologies, material price fluctuations, and industry best practices.

- Knowledge of FIDIC, RICS, and other international standards.

Qualifications
- Certification in Quantity Surveying (RICS / CIOB / AIQS / ICES) or related professional accreditation.
- Experience in MEP estimation and cross-disciplinary projects.
- Familiarity with ERP/project costing systems.
