Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) to join our Civil Engineering team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates to gain practical experience in construction project planning, design support, site supervision, and project execution. The selected candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and project managers, developing technical and professional skills through hands-on exposure to real-world projects.
Key Responsibilities
Site Support & Supervision
- Assist senior engineers in supervising day-to-day construction activities.
- Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
- Monitor contractor performance, material usage, and construction quality.
- Support implementation of site safety procedures and environmental compliance requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and report observations to senior management.
Design & Estimation Assistance
- Support the engineering team in preparing and modifying technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Assist in quantity surveying and preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Calculate material requirements and support basic cost estimation activities.
- Review technical documents, structural drawings, and project specifications under supervision.
- Assist in evaluating construction methodologies and material requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project records, site logs, and Daily Progress Reports (DPR).
- Record site measurements and maintain accurate documentation.
- Assist in coordinating material testing such as concrete, soil, and quality control tests.
- Document laboratory reports, inspection records, and compliance documents.
- Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and action reports.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Freshers and candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong academic understanding of structural engineering, surveying, building materials, and construction practices.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting) is preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel for estimation and project tracking.
- Basic understanding of BOQ preparation, quantity surveying, and construction documentation.
